Towards the beginning of the year, Fall Festival is community event that brings people together in long parades, food, and activities. Our unit uses this time for fundraising opportunities, community service and to show people what ROTC is about.
Also known as PVP, it is a fun and competitive event that gets cadets from all four platoons to participate in a series of teamwork events such as field ball, obstacle course, tug of war, orienteering and more. It is a great way for cadet bonding and amazing memories.
The PFT is a physical Fitness Test that tests the physical ability of a cadet. This test consists of 2 minute timed push-up and sit-ups (each) and a mile run. Scores vary on cadets based on gender and age.
Navy Ball is a traditional ceremony that include toasts to military branches, passing of the flag, and other traditional events. After all is done, it then turns into a ball with music and fun for all cadets and guests invited.
EOY is an event for all cadets within the unit to be presented and recognized for their hard work along the school-year. Cadets get presented with different ribbons they have earned, and some with National awards for their remarkable work throughout the year.
Leadership Academy is an intensive weeklong summer experience with the goal of sharpening cadets' leadership capabilities. Cadets are handpicked by the instructors for this opportunity, as they strive to receive the prestigious silver Leadership Academy cord.
The Orientation Trip is a yearly trip that aids in broadening our cadet's world experiences and interconnectedness as a unit. This is a fun trip where we see once in a lifetime experience and make friendships that last for a lifetime.
